The Scrambler 650 takes the Gold Star platform and lifts it: a 19-inch front wheel, knobbly Pirelli Scorpion Rally tyres and a more upright riding position. It's the BSA for anyone who wants the classic look without worrying about leaving the tarmac.
It shares the 652 cc DOHC liquid-cooled single, with 45 hp at 6,500 rpm and 55 Nm at 4,000 rpm, and a five-speed gearbox. Brembo brakes again: a 320 mm floating front disc and a 255 mm rear, both with ABS.
Up front there's a 41 mm telescopic fork, with twin five-way adjustable shocks at the rear. A 1,463 mm wheelbase and an 820 mm seat keep it settled on open roads, which is where it shines somewhere like Mallorca.
